This forum is for discussing all aspects of refereeing or officiating in any sport, from information on how to become an official to debates on a referee's calls on the professional level. To keep these forums as hospitable and useful as possible, please keep the following brief guidelines in mind.
Failure to conduct your discussions within these guidelines may result in your posts being removed, your threads locked, and possible suspension/expulsion from the forums. These guidelines apply to posts as well as Private Messages.
1. Excessive Profanity
The use of profanity, whilst not prohibited, is strongly discouraged. Some referees are still quite young and do not need to be exposed to indecent language as a result of these forums.
The use of racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual slurs is strictly prohibited and will result in suspension and possibly expulsion from the forums.
2. "Flaming"
Users are not permitted to personally attack, or "flame", other users. Whilst debates are encouraged, there is no need to use personal attacks in your argument.
3. Language
English is the suggested language of these forums. Posts may be in any language. But it is recommended that, if you are more comfortable writing in a language that is not English, that you post in both English and your native language, so that members who do not speak your language can try to help you, and members who do speak your language can fully understand your posts. 4. "Spamming"
For the purpose of these forums, "spamming" has two definitions:
-Repeatedly posting the same content, or posting the same content on multiple forums.
-Posting irrelevant content in a thread for the sole purpose of keeping said thread near the top of the forum (also known as "bumping").
"Spam" will not be tolerated on these forums.
5. Use of graphics
Forum members are permitted to link images to their usernames: Avatars and Signatures.
-Avatars must be smaller than 130kb in size (to preserve the bandwidth of the site from which you link the image) and cannot have a dimension larger than 80 pixels (to preserve adequate spacing and aesthetics of this forum). These conditions are enforced automatically.
-Signatures should be smaller than 100kb in size (to ensure that the forums load quickly for all users) and should have a width no more than 400 pixels and a height no more than 200 pixels (to preserve the aesthetics of this forum). These conditions are enforced automatically.
Members may also post images within their posts. As a courtesy, please limit the size of images to no more than 100kb and 600 pixels wide.

Please have some common sense when posting. There is no need to give out your real name, address, phone number, or other personal information on these forums or to anyone on the Internet, and by doing so, you act at your own risk. The responsibility of enforcing this rule is your own, and no one else can be held liable for your failure to comply or any repercussions.
